He was from Granby when they married. ®656, ®1029 ®8, ®627“They settled in the South Precinct of Hadley upon land, which his father who was one of the original proprietors there owned. His house stood in what is now the town Granby, Mass., as the following record evinces ‘Lieut. Nehemiah Dickinson homelot’ (bounded and described) - of the ‘seventh division of homelots commonly called East of ‘Cold Hill’ (Proprietors Book). “Nehemiah Dickinson 3rd. 1702-1776 of Hadley. Served under Capt. Charles Stevens in Fifth Indian War and was one of the company described in ‘Hoyt’s History of the Indian Wars’ as the brave little garrison who courageously defended the fort at Charleston. N. H. Apr. 1747” ®627 He made his Will, May 10, 1772 and it was proved Aug 6, 1776. He died in the Revolutionary War. ®8His wife was then living.” ®408
