He married Lydia Hovell alias Smith, daughter of Robert and Mirabel (Knapp) Hovell alias Smith of Ashfield, co. Suffolk; no issue.
This George Moody received under the will of his father the mansion house called Fryettes, in Moulton, with much land. In his will , dated 20 Feb. 1651/1652, he left Fryettes to his wife, Lydia and made bequests to his sister, Margaret Warren and her children and to other relatives and connections, including his brother Samuel Moody. An abstract of the will, which contains much genealogical information, is given in the REGISTER, vol. 39, p.68.
