He graduated from Amherst College in 1892. He lived in Daly House, built in 1894 at Northfield. He was a nephew of Dwight Lyman Moody and the business manager of his uncle's Northfield Seminary Summer Conferences and of the Northfield Inn from 1892 -. On 1 June 1900 Ambert George Moody was a 36 year old superintendant of a seminary who lived in a mortgaged house that he owned in Northfield, Massachusetts. He lived with Frances G., 28, Esther F., 4, and George W., 1, and 2 white servants, Elizabeth M. McGee, 23 and Frank S. Altwood, 19. ®354
