On August 5, 1850 he lives with his wife, Margaret, son John D., and Thomas A. Bones, a 25 year old clerk born in Georgia, and Thomas W. Coskery, a 29 year old man from Ireland. They all live at the home of John and Isabella Coskery, Margaret's mother and step father. ®5010 For the 1860 Census he lived on Hickman Road in the Third Ward of Augusta. In addition to the family, Aunt Margaret Mobley, age 67, lived with them. ®5005In 1865 , after their home on Hickman Road burned, he bought "Springvale" on Wrightsboro Road in Augusta. It was so named for the nine springs on the property. ®4974 On the 30 June 1870 Census he is 51 and lives with his wife Margaret B., age 41 and children Thomas R., Isabella, Margaret, James, Mary E. and Francis. His real estate is valued at $3000 and personal property at $500. Springvale was sold after the death of Margaret Wright in 1909. He is a dry goods merchant. ®117
