“Clarice M. Anderson, age 88, of Washburn, passed away peacefully into the Lord's grace on Monday, May 12, 2014, at the Northern Lights Health Care Center.
Clarice was born in Bayfield on April 1, 1926, the daughter of Martin and Christine Erickson. On October 26, 1955, she was united in marriage to Earl D. Anderson in Bayfield.
She attended Bayfield Schools and upon graduating from Bayfield High School, was employed in Janesville and Chicago, Ill. She returned to Bayfield in 1951 and worked at the Pureair Sanitarium. After raising her family, Clarice was employed at the Bayfield County Memorial Hospital in Washburn for 17 years, retiring in 1988.
Clarice is survived by her husband, Earl, Washburn; two daughters, Kristin (Joseph) Kollar of Sinking Spring, Pa. and Susan (Frederick) Schellgell of Mercer; and one son, Erlin (Donna) Anderson of Morris, Ill. Grandchildren include Christopher Edwards of Minneapolis, Minn., Jason Edwards of Mercer, Jennifer Edwards of Eau Claire, Frederick Schellgell of Oshkosh, Jacob Kollar of Sinking Spring, Pa., Kenny and Krysta Milosovic of Morris, Ill., and one great granddaughter, Emma Schellgell of Oshkosh. Clarice is also survived by one brother, James Erickson of Bayfield, and a cousin, Jessie Oliver of Berrian Springs, Mich.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Edwin Erickson and Melvin Erickson; five sisters, Helena Erickson, Anna Johnson, Marian (Toddy) Cendt, Bernice Erickson, and Lillian Cox. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Patrick Edwards, in 1998.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2014, at the Frost Home for Funerals in Ashland with Pastor Myoung Kwon officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Ashland.” Ashland Press, Ashland, Wisconsin 14 May 2014

“Earl Donald Anderson, age 97, of Washburn, Wisconsin passed away peacefully into the Lord's grace on November 15, 2017, at Timber's Edge Assisted Living, Ashland.
Earl was born in Highland on December 12, 1919, along with his twin brother Eugene, the son of Conrad and Hulda Anderson. On October 26, 1955 he was united in marriage with Clarice M. Anderson (nee Erickson) in Bayfield. Earl attended Highland Schools in Highland. After school, Earl worked for the Chevrolet garage in Ashland as a parts man. On June 9, 1942, Earl was drafted into the Army in World War II and went to Caterpillar training in Peoria, Illinois for the Army. He served his time in the South Pacific and was on the islands of New Caledonia, Guadalcanal, New Guinea, Mindanao, Leyte, and Okinawa working as a heavy equipment mechanic for the Army Airborne Engineers 873rd Battalion as a Motor Sergeant and was discharged on December 17, 1945. After the war, Earl worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for DuPont, and later for Local 49 out of Minnesota for Park Construction, Arrowhead Blacktop, Earth Movers, Reserve Mining, among others.
Earl was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He also belonged to the American Legion. Earl's first love, after his family, was his motorcycles. He would go on many trips with his brothers and friends and son. He loved spending time with friends and family and sharing old memories. He was always busy working on one project or another.
Earl is survived by two daughters, Kristin (Joseph) Kollar of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania and Susan (Frederick) Schellgell of Mercer, Wisconsin and one son, Erlin (Donna) Anderson of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Grandchildren include Christopher (Erin) Edwards of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jason (Olivia) Edwards of Mercer, Wisconsin, Jennifer (Nick) Schoenhard of Elk Mound, Wisconsin, Jacob Kollar of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, Frederick (Becky) Schellgell of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Kenny Milosovic of Denver, Colorado, and Krysta (Nick) Kelly of Morris, Illinois, four great-grandchildren, Emma and Levi Schellgell, Conor Edwards, and Joey Kelly. Earl is also survived by one brother, Myron (Shirley) Anderson, and two sisters, Lois Leslie and Doris Olson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Clarice, in May of 2014, by his parents, Conrad and Hulda (Hagstrom) Anderson, and a twin brother Eugene and brothers Ray and Jerry, and infant siblings, Dale and Janice. He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Patrick Edwards, in 1998.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Frost Home For Funerals with Pastor Rod Larson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Mt.
