He lived at 2201 East 36th Street, Minneapolis while his father was a resident in Radiology at the University of Minnesota. His mother found him dead in his crib from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome at home in the morning of 24 July 1967. He was buried next his grandfather, Leonard Wood Moody, in New Greenwood Cemetery in Bayfield, Wisconsin.
