He was from Dutch Hoosack ®1109 at the time of their marriage. ®687 On 1 June 1850 Asa, 75, and Rhoda Elwell, 70, lived in Shaftsbury, Vermont with Artemas Elwell, 25 and Leovinia Elwell, 27. Artemas was a farmer with real estate valued at $150, and Asa was a farm laborer. All four had been born in Vermont. ®1110 Asa died on 15 or 16 November 1869 aged 84 years 8 months and was buried with Rhoda. ®73
