He died of sickness in 1814. 607
He enlisted as a Private in the 40th US Infantry Regiment at Northfield, Massachusetts on 10 February 1814 to serve in the War of 1812. He was five feet seven and three quarters inches tall, with blue eyes, dark hair and a light complexion. He was trained as a mason. He was stationed at Fort Independence on 28 February 1814 which was on an island in the Boston harbor, where he died of illness on 4 October 1814.2081
