He never married ®656 He was a Revolutionary War patriot from Amherst, serving on either a correspondence committee, an inspections/safety committees, or as a soldier. ®1312 He was constable in 1778-9 and died at age 30. ®408 He was a sergeant in Captain Eli Parker’s company of Colonel Leonard’s regiment of militia, who marched from Hampshire county to Ticonderoga, May 8, 1777. Another member of the company was Elisha Moody. The enlistment of members of the regiment was for about two months. ®778 He was killed in action during the Revolutionary War. ®8
