Alice Chapin Moody claims that this Deacon John was born 3/7/1701, d. 1769 and m. Sarah Dickinson on 6/24/1733, dau. of Nehemiah. Sarah b. 4/13/1708, she had 4 boys and 4 girls. John became a Deacon in Granby, Mass. before 1767. This fits John the son of Samuel Moody and Sarah Lane, who died in Hadley, while this John was born and died in Hartford.
