The banns of marriage were posted at Tanča Gora on 24 January 1868. A special permission for the bride’s minority was given by the mayor of Črnomelj on 28 January 1868. The witnesses to the marriage were Miheal Krakar and Johann Horvat.18 Her house name was "Lilkov”.

The name of the house that they raised their family in was “Lilkov”. He was a 1/4 farmer. The expression, "a 1/4 farmer”, stands for a farmer who had just one quarter of the usual property for a farmer and was supposed to pay only a quarter of the taxes (for example: a farmer had to pay 21 fl., a 1/2 farmer had to pay 10 fl., and a 1/4 farmer 5 fl. of taxes; Those who owned less than 1/4 were considered a crofter or a smallholder.18 Ales Kuretic records from Dragatuš give November 1st as birth date.153
