She was unmarried and lived in Bayfield at the time of her father’s death on 11 June 1908. 721 On 5 February 1910 she was 15 years old and living in Bayfield when she received a postcard from her cousin Isabella. On 20 Jun 1911 and in 1917 she was single and lived at 604 10th Street South, Virginia, Minnesota. She married in 1919 and they lived in LaPointe on Madeline Island on the 1920 US Census. In 1924 they moved from LaPointe to a house that Allen built on the north west side of Highway 13 overlooking Brickyard Creek at Roy’s Point. On 1 April 1930 she was a widow living with her four children, her mother Louise, and brothers Ernest and Philip on Broad Street in Bayfield.1036 Her widowed mother Louise lived with her until Louise died on 4 February 1951. Beatrice lived at 133 North Second Street in Bayfield for some of this time. She sold the house her husband built in Roy's Pointe on 8 April 1941, and it burned down on 3 August 1987. She left for Los Angeles, California on 12 January 1946. On 24 April 1950 she purchased the LeBel house at 212 North Second Street in Bayfield, which she sold to Tony Kovachevich on 12 September 1953.243 On 13 August 1980 she lived in Medford, Oregon with her daughter Carol and her husband Howard Sutherlin. Later in life she was confined to the Beverly Manor Convalescent Home in Los Angeles, California. Beatrice received a post card addressed to her in Bayfield, Wisconsin, dated 5 Feb 1910 from Pinconning, Michigan which said “Dear Cousin. I will answer your postal card and was glad to hear from you we are all well. I will close in hoping to hear from you soon. from Isabella”

On the 1900 Census of LaPointe he is called Gabriel A. Stahl. In 1910 he was a lodger on West Bayfield Street in Washburn, Wisconsin. He was a World War I Navy Veteran,237 serving as a Machinist’s Mate First Class from 21 June 1917 to 20 November 1919. He was Machinist in charge of the Duluth, Minnesota harbor patrol for six months, and an instructor in the Aviation Motor School at Great Lakes Naval Base, Illinois for 15 months. He married Beatrice La Pointe in Jun 1919 at La Pointe, and on 1 January 1920 they lived at La Pointe. Allen was working as a grocery merchant.727 In 1924 Allen Stahl built a house on the north west side of Highway 13 as it crosses Brickyard Creek in Roy’s Pointe. On 19 March 1925 he, Beatrice, Mary Louise and Roger nearly drowned when their Ford touring car went through the ice in 12 feet of water near Oak Island. They were pulled from the ice by fishermen from Oak Island. He drowned in 1927 when a boat rolled over when hauling stone to build Woods’ dock on Madeline Island, leaving Beatrice a widow with four children.
