Misc. Notes
"Isaac Beecher in his will dated 26 Sep 1689, proved 12 Nov 1690, named his wife Mary, eldest son John, and sons Isaac, Joseph, Samuel and Eleazer. ®3302 At one time or another I have been thru practically all the New Haven records, I might say page by page, and I have never found mention of any wife other than Mary. There is no positive record evidence that she was mother of the children, but neither is there any reason to doubt it. Three of the five sons named a daughter Mary. The genealogies in "Seymour Past and Present” endow Isaac with a multitude of wives, and speaking from memory I think it was from this book you got the names of three wives, Hannah, Sarah and Mary. I can find no evidence of the existence of the first two in an original record source.” ®3300 He was brought to New Haven, Connecticut ca 1639 traditionally by his father John who died shortly after arrival; he was brought up by his widowed mother; he died by 12 Nov 1690.
