In 1870 he was a 1 year old and lived with his family in the 20th Ward of Chicago, Illinois. ®300 He attended Northfield Mount Hermon Schools, Northfield, Massachusetts, graduating in 1887. In 1889 he was in New Haven where he graduated from Yale University in 1891. He succeeded his father in 1899 in management of both schools and the Conferences and in 1912 became President of the Northfield Schools, resigning in 1925. He continued with the Conferences until his death in 1833. He received a Litt D. from Rutgers University in 1924. He lived in an 1894 home called Dwight’s Home, after his son, located on the Mount Hermon campus.
