She was raised in North Andover, Massachusetts. On 1 January 1920 Alice E. Moody, 13, lived in North Andover with her parents, George F., a 40 year old dresser in a worsted mill, born in Maine, Mary V., 39, born in Massachusetts, and siblings Mary E., 15, and George D., 9, both born in Massachusetts. 2179 The North Andover Trinitarian Congregational Church chose her to attend the two week Northfield Summer Seminar while she was in high school.418 She was a 1929 graduate Registered Nurse from the Boston Children’s Hospital School of Nursing. On 19 August 1933 she sailed from Glascow, Scotland on the S.S.Caledonia, arriving in New York on 27 August 1933. She was single, age 27, appeared to be traveling alone, and her home address was 952 Pelhamdale Avenue, Pelham Manor, New York. 2176 In 1935 she lived on a farm in Michigan. On 1 January 1940 Alice Edith Moody Skoralik, 34, was married, but did not live with her husband. She and her daughter Alice Joyce Skoralik, 1, lived with her siblings and widowed father at his home at 92 Prescott Street, North Andover, Massachusetts. Alice had completed college, 5th or subsequent year. 2180 In 1949 Alice Scoralik was the proprietor of the North Andover Nursing Home at 140 Prescott, North Andover.2181 On 28 April 1989 she was living in Litchfield, Connecticut. On 29 Oct 1990 her address was Stanton House, 76 Maple Street, P. O. Box 7852, Greenwich, Connecticut 06830 869-2110. As of 11 Mar 1995 letters to the Greenwich, Connecticut address were returned with a note that the forwarding address had expired. Alice E. Moody died on 14 January 1996 at Kalamazoo, Michigan 49001.2182Her one and only grandchild was named David. She wrote the book “The Family Tree : Seven Hundred Years Of Moody Ancestors”418,2182
