Sgt. George J. Plautz 237th A.A.A. Searchlight Battalion Veteran of the 6th and 8th Army. He had 3 1⁄2 years of overseas duty, received the good conduct medal, the pre-Pearl Harbor ribbon, the Asiatic Ribbon with 3 battle stars and the Philippine Liberations ribbon with one battle star. Sgt. George J. Plautz, who spent the past 42 months in the South Pacific, returned here Sunday 13 September 1945 and is visiting his mother, Mrs. Mary Plautz. He has received his discharge. He took part in the invasion of Leyte, Mindoro and Palawan in the Philippine Islands, where he served our nation in the anti-aircraft unit. He lived in Willard, Wisconsin in 1948, 426 in Greenwood, Wisconsin in 1973, 335 and in 1982. 427
