His godfather was Abel Potvin and his godmother was Louise Girard, wife of THomas Girard. 549He moved with his parents and siblings to Bay City, Michigan in 1890 233 where the family lived at 808 Monroe Street.233 He could read, write and speak English in 1900. 233 He then moved with his parents and family to Bayfield, Wisconsin in 1900. He sent a postcard to his mother in Roy’s Pointe from Virginia, Minnesota on 26 May 1908. He lived in Virginia, Minnesota at the time of his father’s death on 11 June 1908. 721 He sent her a postcard from Duluth, Minnesota, on 24 November 1910 saying he was "dressing fish" and planned to work in Cloquet the following winter. He was married with two children and living at 169 Shuniah Street, Port Arthur, Ontario, from 1912 to 1918. His phone number was 2121 and he worked at a dry dock. He moved with his family in 1924 from Port Arthur to Giscome, British Columbia where he was employed as a sawyer. He was married and lived in Giscome, British Columbia in 1927. The family eventually settled on a homestead on Ferguson Lake Road near Prince George, British Columbia. His wife died in 1936. He visited Bayfield from 1-6 March 1941. He lived at his son Melville’s house at Box 417, 426 Melville Avenue, Prince George, British Columbia, Canada from 1946 to 1968. 256 He lived in Prince George, British Columbia at the time of his mother’s death on 4 February 1951.2339
