Daniel’s parents were born in Ireland. 529No O’Connell’s can be found in Bayfield on the 1900 US Census. In 1905 Daniel was a 32 year old policeman and lived with Katherine, 30, James, 12, Lawrence, 10, Daniel, 4, Wales 2, and Kenneth, 1 month in Bayfield, Wisconsin.529
On the 29 April 1910 US Census he was a 36 year old estimator of timber and had been married for 18 years to Katherine I, age 35. Living with them were James J., 17, Lawrence E., 15, assistant cashier in a bank, Daniel D., 8, Wallace, 7, Lucille M. 2, and Kenneth J., 9 months of age. 586
On the 15 January 1920 US Census he was 45 and lived in a home he owned on Second Street in Bayfield, Wisconsin with Katherine B., 44, Daniel, 18, Wallace, 16, Lucille, 12, Kenneth, 10 and Charles, 6. He was the Express Agent at the Express Office. Both his mother and father had been born in Ireland. 612
On the 1930 US Census he did not live in Bayfield with his wife and children.588
He lived in Iron Mountain, Michigan on 22 April 1946.

In 1905 Katherine B.’s parent’s were born in New Jersey and Ireland. 529On the 1910 US Census she was Katherine I. and her father had been born in New Jersey and her mother in Ireland. She had had eight children of whom six were alive in 1910. 586
On the 1920 US Census she was Katherine B. and her father had been born in New York and her mother in Ireland.612
On the 1930 US Census she was Mrs. Kathryn O’Connell, 52, who owned her home on Second Street in Bayfield, who was married, had first married at age 15, and lived with Kenneth, age 20 and single, and Charles age 18 and single.588
