He was an incorporator in 1794 of Augusta's first labor union, the Augusta Association of Mechanics. 266 On 29 May 1814 he became a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Augusta. 266 For many years he was an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church, having been elected on 16 April 1821. 266 He survived to an advanced age. 266 In 1830 he was 50-60 years of age and lived in Holts, Richmond County, Georgia with one white male 10-15, two white females 5-10, one white female 10-15, and one white female 40-50.
