Notes for David ENSIGN JR.
He was from Hartford, Connecticut. He and his first wife Hannah were original members of the Second Church in Hartford 18 February 1711-12. On 16 December 1712 he was chosen grand juryman 20 December 1715 he was selected collector of tax. Hannah died in 1719 leaving five children. He married Sarah Moody on 29 April 1726. “He went from Windsor to Wintonbury, now Bloomfield, with all his goods in a bundle. He made his Will on 14 November 1759, being at that time confined to his bed by sickness the Will was presented to Court 15th of December of the same year.” He died 4 December 1759 at Bloomfield, Connecticut.607
