In the 1820s James N. Wright, his brother Abednego Wright Jr., M. C. Wright and and Flewellen Wright were in the 14th Regiment 10th District Militia of Hancock County. He was alive at the time of the probate of the will of Abednego Wright, Sr. of Hancock County of 6 Dec 1824. In 1825, Abednego, and James N., probably sons of Abednego had 333 acres each on the Oconee River. At a Regimental Court of Enquiry began held in & for the 14th Regt. G. M. at Mrs. Halls in Sparta 13th May 1825 James Wright was fined $1.00.
