He was Charity’s second husband. They were willed five shillings in the will of her father, Dionysius, of 20 March 1780.485

The will of her brother Albert of 1794 mentions his brothers Abednego, Meshack, Shadrack, Isaiah, Habakkuk, and his sisters Charity Shultz who later married a John Cotton, Peace Brown who later married Abner Willingham, Naomi Mims, Concord Hamilton, and Elizabeth Penny Tindall.
