He lived from about 1733 to late 1757 in Goochland County, Virginia, and in 1763 and 1764 in Prince Edward County, Virginia. On 16 February 1764 at Prince Edward County he purchased 420 acres of land on Plain Run and the Appomattox River from David and Mary Patteson. 279 His will was dated 18 March 1775 and was probated on 20 April 1779 at Prince Edward County, Virginia. He bequeathed 30 pounds to his grandson Thomas Wright, and 15 pounds to a John Wright, without the relationship indicated.279
