She was Chester’s second wife and lived in Wilbraham at the time of their marriage. Their wedding intentions were published 18 December 1802. ®687 After their marriage Chester and Nancy settled in Hinsdale, where they had children baptized in 1807, 1809, 1811, and 1818. After Chester’s death in 1826, Nancy returned to Wilbraham. ®5311 In 1840 Nancy Moody was a 50-60 year old widow who lived in Wilbraham with 3 women who were 20-30 years old. ®5300 On 1 June 1850 Nancy Moody, a 65 year old widow with real estate valued at $1900 lived in Wilbraham with her unmarried 41 year old daughter, Lucinda. Also living with them was Sarah Buttles, age 66, Massachusetts, Dwight A. Campbell, 22, Connecticut, Phineas G. Pratt, 22, Massachusetts, Edward Atwater, 14, Connecticut, Dwight Bradley, 14, Connecticut, and Georgiana Boardman, 22, Massachusetts. ®5299 She was the wife of Chester Moody and died at age 73 from consumption. ®5309
