He was from Hadley at the time of their marriage. “After her decease, he married Sybel Worthington of Colchester, Conn. who was at the time, the widow of Dea. Elijah Smith of Belchertown and by marriage with him, the mother of nine children among whom was, Rev. Ethan Smith, author to ‘Key on Revelation’, ‘Dissertation on the Prophesies’, ‘View of the Trinity’, etc. and others who became distinguished in the Church. His second wife survived him and died in Hadley 26 May 1828, aged 101 years. He died in South Hadley, by falling from a cart” ...at age 78. ®408
