He is on the 1813 Tax Roll for Capt. Jacob Lindsay's District of Putnam County, Georgia. His estate was Inventoried, appraised and administered beginning on 7 April 1817 by Stephen Wright, Tarpley Holt and James Allen. He left three minor children, Benjamin Jackson, George Washington and Eliza P. John H. Fannin was appointed guardian for all three children and posted a bond of $20,000. Fannin’s guardianship was revoked on 7 February 1825 at which time John Hubert became guardian for all three children at a bond of $5000. John Hubert died ca 1832 at which time Henderson S. Wade of Alabama became guardian for George Washington and Eliza P. at a bond of $14,000. The last annual return of the guardian was filed in 1834.
