He was a laborer and lived in Bayfield, Wisconsin with Margaret, 38, Augustus, 20, Margaret, 18, Elizabeth, 16, Rosa [sic], 14, Charlotte, 12, Julia, 10, Joseph, 8, Francis, 4, and Frederick, 4 months of age.
1485 On 1 January 1920 Joseph Cadotte was a 60 year old Indian who owned a farm without a mortgage in the Township of La Pointe, Wisconsin. He and both his parents had been born in Wisconsin. He lived with Margaret, 47, Joseph, 18, Francis, 13, Vincent, 8, Dorothy, 6, Donald, 3 years and 10 months and Eva [sic], 2 years and 11 months, all born in Wisconsin.
1511 On 1 April 1930 Joe Cadotte was a 67 year old Indian laborer in a lumber camp, married at age 28, who lived in a house he rented for $6 per month on 4th Street in Bayfield, Wisconsin. He lived with Margaret, 54, Francis, 24, Vincent, 18, Donald, 14, and Alice, 12. Also living with them is their widowed daughter Charlotte Rabideaux, 32, who had been married at 19, and Charlotte’s daughters Grace, 12, and Charlotte, 2 years and nine months.
