My cousin, Mr. Mark was present during her illness & at her death; she sacrificed herself to serve her husband’s life who was not expected to live. He never shed a tear, & singular enough selected the Hotwells as the place to spend the honeymoon, ‘_____ ____! on his 2nd marriage in 1786.

Hotwells is a community in Bristol, about one mile west of the city centre. It takes its name from the hot springs which bubble up through the rocks of the Avon Gorge

The property at Wattisfield formerly Baker’s was purchased in 1766 of the Moody family by David Powell, Esq. of Clapton, Midde, whose family still possess it.545
