Notes for William B. HUTTON
William B. Hutton died at his home on South Main street Tuesday morning, June 29th. Mr. Hutton was born in Pike on 14 December 1843, the son of Jonathan and Harriet Watrous Hutton. He was a veteran of the Civil War and was a member of Company F, 5th New York Cavalry. He served three years and one month and fought at the battle of Gettysburg and at Hanover. He was a member of Gibbs Post, Grand Army of the Republic and the Methodist church of which he was treasurer for several years. On 13 September 1866 he married Emma Relyea who died 19 July 1890. In 1891 he married Emma Curry Cole who survives him, also two sons, by his first wife, Harry R. Hutton of Chicago, Ill, and Merton E. Hutton of Mt. Morrison, Colo, three grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Emma Sowerby of Perry.
The funeral will be held this afternoon at the home at two o'clock with the Rev. William Sadler officiating. He will be buried in Perry.548
