He was the second child in a family of six. “They settled in South Hadley, Mass. He was a Lieutenant of the Artillery Co. in Belchertown, Mass. They removed to Pittsfield, Mass., afterwards to Rochester, New York where both lived until their decease. All their children were born in South Hadley, Mass.”607
