On 1 June 1900 Mary, 41, born in French Canada lived in Washburn, Wisconsin, had been married for 14 years and had borne 8 children, all still alive. She had emigrated in 1887.
1654In 1910 she had 8 children, 7 still alive, and ran a hotel in Bayfield with twenty four boarders. Mary had emigrated in 1890 and was not a naturalized citizen.
1028 On 1 January 1920 all the children had left home except, Edith, 26 and Laura, 27, and her husband Leeland Russell.
1665On 1 April 1930 all the children had left home in Superior, Wisconsin except Irene, 28 and single, and Laura, 34, married to Lee D. Russell, and their two children.

On 1 June 1900 Basile Arseneau, 47, lived with his wife of 14 years, Mary, 41, both of whom had been born in French Canada. Basile was a common laborer who had emigrated in 1887 and was a permanent alien. They lived on Pine Street in Washburn, Wisconsin with Wilford, 12, Henry, 11, Mary, 7, Laura, 7, Edith, 6, Emma, 5, Rena, 4, Richard, 3 months and Basile’s brother Simon, 44. and 2 boarders.
1654On 15 April 1910 Basile was 49 [sic], had been married to Mary, 50, for 22 years, lived in Bayfield, Wisconsin and worked in a lumber camp. Basile had emigrated in 1890 and was a naturalized citizen. He lived with his wife, Mary, and daughters, Laura E., 18, Edith J., 16, Emma M., 15, and Irene, 14.
1028 On 1 January 1920 Basile Arseneau, 56, his wife Mary H., 57, daughter Edith, 26, and grandson Vernon Bachand, 10, lived in a house Basile owned, with a mortgage at 309 East Second Street, Allouez, Superior, Wisconsin. Daughter Lora [sic], 27 and her husband Leeland Russell, 25 live with them. Both Basile and Mary H. emigrated in 1886 and are permanent aliens.
1665On 1 April 1930 Basile, 66, and Mary H. Arseneau, 68, lived in a home they owed worth $4000 at 4022 East Second Street, Superior, Wisconsin. Basile was a laborer in a grain elevator who had married at age 23 and Mary H. had married at age 25. The lived with Irene, 28, Laura, 34, Laura’s husband Lee D. Russell, 34 and grandchildren, Robert J. Russell, 10 and Joan D. Russell, 6, all born in Wisconsin.
