Charles Leihy did not attend the Bayfield Public Schools. ®4872 “Two of our pioneer residents were married that summer: Leihy-Stark. At the residence of the bride's parents at Red Cliff on Saturday, June 29, 1878. Mr. Charles Leihy to Miss Bell Stark, Justice Flanders officiating. ‘Charles has for a long time been one of the boys in Bayfield, and his action is much regretted by some of his friends.’” ®5202 On 1 June 1880 Charles Leihy, a 23 year old sailor lived in the Village of Bayfield, Wisconsin with his wife, Belle, 24, and their 1 year old son Ervin. ®10541 On 1 June 1900 Charles R. Leihy, a 43 year old boat pilot lived with his family in a house he owned without a mortgage on Broad Street in the Village of Bayfield. He had been married for 23 years to Belle, 43, and had two children, Ervin G., 21 and Edna M., 19. ®10654 On 15 April 1910 Charles is 52 years old, retired, and lived on Broad Street in Bayfield, Wisconsin with his wife Bell, age 53. The children have left home and they now have John B. Coleman, 31, Elizabeth E. Coleman, 31 and Armand D. Coleman, 6, as lodgers. ®10655 On 1 January 1920 Charles was 62, retired and lived in the house he owned on Broad Street with his wife Belle. No children or boarders lived with them. ®10656
