Michael J. Boutin, age 51 of Ashland, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at his home. He was born November 1, 1962 in Washburn, Wisconsin, the son of James "Bucky" and Sandra (Hudson) Boutin.Michael was a 1980 graduate of Bayfield High School in Bayfield, Wisconsin. Following graduation he entered the US Air Force serving in Montgomery, Alabama from 1980 to 1984. In 1984, Mike returned to the area and worked construction for various companies for a number of years before starting his own company. He was the owner and operator of Boutin Construction for over 15 years. Mike enjoyed golfing, hunting, and his beloved Green Bay Packers. He is survived by a daughter, Alyssa Jo Peterson of Menomonie, Wisconsin; his parents, James "Bucky" and Sandra Boutin of Washburn; a sister, Denise Boutin of Washburn; a niece, Angie (Matt) Skaj of Mason; a great-nephew, Darien Skaj of Mason; special friends, Tracy Johnson of Ashland, Paul Meierotto of Ashland, and Robert Meierotto of Bayfield; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his canine companion, "Bo". Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents; two uncles, Richard Erickson Sr. and Billy Boutin; and a cousin, Richard Erickson Jr. A memorial service will be held at 11 am Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Bratley Funeral Home in Washburn Wisconsin, with Fr. Kevin Gordon officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.” ®11110
