On 1 June 1905 Peter “Ed” Freeman, 37, and Mary Freeman, 26, lived in Ashland, Wisconsin. Marie’s widowed mother, Mary O’Neil, had not yet arrived to live with them.
1260Peter “Ed” died in Ashland on 18 February 1909. On 15 April 1910, Marie Freeman, a 30 year old widow lived in a house she rented at 301 Ninth Street East in Ashland, Wisconsin. She had had only 1 child, who was still alive. That child, her daughter Mary Freeman, age 3, and her mother Mary O’Neil, 68, lived with Marie. Both women were unemployed. Marie had immigrated in 1899.
1259 Marie then moved to Bayfield, Wisconsin as on 1 January 1920 Marie A. Freeman, a 38 year old widow born in Canada lived in a house she rented on Third Street in Bayfield. She had immigrated in 1901, become a naturalized citizen in 1905 and worked as a stenographer at a lumber company. Her daughter Mary E. Freeman, age 12, born in Ashland, Wisconsin, and her 44 year old spinster sister, Mary O’Neil, lived with her. Her mother no longer lived with her and may have died since 1910.
855 On 1 April 1930 Marie Freeman, a 45 year old widow, who had first married at age 22, lived in a house she owned worth $1200 on Fourth Street in Bayfield. She had been born in Canada East, had immigrated in 1901, was a naturalized citizen and worked as a book keeper for a fish company. Her daughter, Mary E. Freeman had left home, but her sister, Mary O’Neil, 51, single, and unemployed, still lived with her.

In 1870 Peter, age 2, lived with his parents in Port Washington, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin. On 1 June 1900 Peter E. Freeman, a 32 year old widower lived with the family of his father-in-law, Nelson Pero at 310 Prentice Avenue in Ashland, Wisconsin. Peter was a clerk who had been married for 1 year before his wife died. Nelson Pero’s father had been born in Vermont and his mother in Ireland.
768 On 1 June 1905 Ed Freeman was a 37 year old clerk, born in Port Washington, who lived with his wife, Mary in Ashland, Wisconsin. They had no children.
1260 Their only child, Mary E. Freeman, was born about 1908 in Ashland, and Peter died 18 February 1909 in Ashland.
