Notes for COLONEL Thomas G. LAMAR II
He was a native of the Edgefield District. Thomas's II plantation was close to the mouth of Horse Creek and/or Sand Bar Ferry on the Savannah River. He was Colonel of the 1st Regiment of South Carolina Artillery Volunteers. He was wounded at Secessionville and died in Charleston in his 35th year, possibly of malaria. 1280 He was the 3rd cousin once removed of Charles Augustus Lafayette Lamar.
