On 1 June 1850 Nicolas Riott [sic] was a 30 year old farmer whose farm in Clearfield Township was worth $800. He lived with Margaret, 28, Francis, 8, Nicolas, 4 and Joseph, 1. His father Nicholas and brothers Jacob and Francis Riott [sic] had the adjacent farms.1322 On 1 June 1860 Nickless Recott [sic] was a 44 year old who farm was worth $3000 and was adjacent to his father’s farm and those of his brothers Jacob and Francis in Summit, Butler County, Pennsylvania. He lived with his wife Margaret, 30, and children Francis, 17, Nickless [sic], 14, Joseph, 8, Mary, 6. 1450On 1 June 1880 Nicholas Reott was a 60 year old farmer born in Bavaria who farmed in Summit Township, Pennsylvania where he lived with his wife, Margaret, 55, and sons Nicholas, 31, Henry, 18 and John 15, each of whom worked on the farm and had been born in Pennsylvania. The farm next door belonged to Nicholas’ brother Francis Reott and his family.1321
