On 1 June 1900 Axel Gustason [sic] was a 29 year old saw mill laborer, born in Sweden in November 1870 who lived in the Village of Port Wing in the Township of Bayfield, County of Bayfield, Wisconsin with his wife Adaline [sic], 27 and three children, Anna 4, and twins Johan and Amanda, age 1. Axel, Adaline and Anna had emigrated in 1896. 1223On 15 April 1910 A. V. Gustafson was a 40 year old who lived on a farm he owned, without mortgage, in the Township of Port Wing, Bayfield County, Wisconsin. He had been born in Sweden, emigrated in 1896 and was a naturalized alien. He had been married for 15 years to Adla M. Gustafson, 37 who lived with him and their six children, Anna W., 14, John A., 11, Amanda S., 11, Gustaf William, 10, Nels Joseph, 7 and Ann C., 2 years of age.1210 On 1 January 1920 Axel Gutafson {sic}, age 50, was a farmer in the Town of Port Wing, Wisconsin. He owned the farm which now was mortgaged, and had become a naturalized citizen in 1905. He lived with Ella M.,[sic], 48, Amanda, 21, John, 21, Gust, 19, Nels, 17 and Irene [sic], 12. Anna W. no longer lived with the family.1211 On 15 April 1930 Axel, 60, and Adla, 58, Gustafson lived on the farm they owned in the Town of Port Wing, Wisconsin. None of their children lived with them. They were 24 and 22 years of age respectively when they married. On 1 June 1900 Adaline Gustson [sic], born February 1873 in Sweden lived with her husband and three children, Anna 4, and twins Johan and Amanda, age 1 in Port Wing, Wisconsin. 1223On 15 April 1910 she was 37, born in Sweden and lived with her husband on their farm in the Township of Port Wing. She had six children, all of whom were alive in 1910. She had emigrated in 1896, as did her husband and oldest child. 1210 On 1 January 1920 she was 48 and lived on the farm in Port Wing, Wisconsin with Alex Gutafson,[sic], 50, Amanda, 21, John, 21, Gust, 19, Nels, 17 and Irene [sic], 12. Anna W. no longer lived with the family.1211 On 15 April 1930 she and Axel lived alone in Port Wing.1228
