On 1 June 1900 Thomas Gunderson was a 35 year old day laborer, born in Norway, who had emigrated in 1883, married Annie Danielson about 1890 and together with their 5 children lived with Annie’s parents in Bayfield, Wisconsin. Thomas was a naturalized citizen. 1563 On 1 June 1905 Thomas Gunderson, a 42 year old farmer and his wife, Anna 38, and 8 children had moved to the Town of Grant, Rusk County, Wisconsin. They lived next door to the farm of his father in law, Charles and Marie Danielson1564 On 15 April 1910 Thomas G. Gunderson, 47, was a dairy farmer in Grant, Wisconsin. He lived with his wife of 20 years, Anna, 40, and children Marie C., 19, Agnes T., 16, Charlotte J., 14, Arthur T., 13, Carl H., 11, Christian, 9, Carrie, 7, Ida, 5, Robert J., 3, and Rudolph A., 1 year and 2 months. Charles and Marie Danielson lived on the next farm. 1565 On 1 January 1920 Thomas Gunderson, 56, is a farmer in Grant, Wisconsin. He lived with Anna, 49, Arthur, 23, Carl, 21, Christ, 19, Ida, 15, Robert, 13, Rudolph, 11, Florence, 9 and Anna, 6. Marie, Agnes, Charlotte and Carrie have left home. Charles and Marie Danielson no longer live on the farm next door.1566 On 1 April 1930 Thos. Gunderson was a 66 year old farmer in Grant Township, Rusk County, Wisconsin. He lived with Anna, 60, Arthur, 33, Rudolph, 21, and Anna, 16. Carl, Christian, Ida, Robert, and Florence had left home.1567

On 1 June 1900 Annie Danielson Gunderson, 28, lived with her husband Thomas Gunderson, 35, and their 5 children at the home of Annie’s parents, the Danielson’s, in the Village of Bayfield, Wisconsin. She and Thomas had been married 10 years earlier in about 1890, shortly after Annie and her mother Mary emigrated together in 1889. Thomas had emigrated in 1883. By 1900 she had borne 6 children, of whom 5 were alive. Annie was not a naturalized citizen.1563 On 1 June 1905 Anna, 35, and her husband Thomas, 42, had moved with their now 8 children to a farm in the Town of Grant, Rusk County, Wisconsin, next door to the farm of her parents.1564 On 15 April 1910 Anna, 40 had borne 11 children with 10 still alive. She lived with her husband and all 10 children on a dairy farm in Grant, Wisconsin. Her parents lived on the farm next door.1565 On 1 January 1920 Anna, 49, lived with her husband Thomas, 56, and 8 children, 2 born since 1910, in Grant, Wisconsin.1566 On 1 April 1930 Anna, 60 lived with her husband, Thomas Gunderson and children Arthur, 33, Rudolph, 21 and Anna, 16 on a farm in Grant Township, Wisconsin.1567

Thomas & J. Gunderson owned Block 19 Lot 11 Graves 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 in Greenwood Cemetery in Bayfield, Wisconsin. Their infant daughter, the first Agnes T., is buried in Grave 4. Grave 1 contains “Mother Hannah Anderson 1857 1930” and Grave 3 contains “Father August Anderson 1865 1929” Whose mother and father are they? They are too young to be Anna’s or Thomas’ parents.384
