On 1 June 1870 Richard Bacon, 31, born in Vermont, was a canvasser [sic] who lived in Ward 4 of St. Louis, Missouri. His personal estate was $1500, and he lived with Nellie, 30, born in Michigan, Albert, 4, and Lulu, 1, both born in Missouri. Nancy Marsh, age 60, born in Michigan lived with them. She was probably Nellie’s mother. 1601On 1 June 1880 Richard H. Bacon, 43, born in Vermont was a bookkeeper and lived with Nellie L. Bacon, 40, born in Michigan, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Children who lived with them were Albert L., 13, born in Missouri, Lulu C., 11, born in Missouri, an unnamed daughter aged 1 month born in Minnesota, and a servant. Richards father was born in Vermont and mother in Massachusetts.1600On 1 June 1900 Richard H. Bacon was a 60 year old widower, born in Michigan, who lived in Saint Paul, Minnesota with his daughters Violet, and Lulu and Lulu’s family. He was unemployed and both his parents had been born in Vermont. Albert L. did not live with them.1595 On 1 January 1920 Richard H. Bacon, an 82 year old widower born in Vermont lived with his daughter Lulu’s family in Spokane, Washington.1596 Richard did not live with his daughter Lulu’s family on 15 April 1930. 1598
