On 1 January 1920 Edward, 15, Hazel, 14, Walter, 12, Nora, 10, Harry, 7, Arthur, 5, Donald, 3, and Elmer, 1 and 1/2 years of age lived at their parents home in Midway Township, St. Louis County, Minnesota.1646 On 1 April 1930 Harry B., 17, Arthur, 15, Donald, 13, Roy, 11, Bernard, 9 and Marvin, 3 years and 1 months lived with their parents in the Township of Russell, Bayfield County, Wisconsin.1648 On 1 April 1940 Nels and his wife Louise lived in the Township of Russell with Harry, 27, Arthur, 25, Donald, 22, Roy, 21, and Vernon, 19, all born in Minnesota and a grandchild Marvin, 13, born in Minnesota.1649 Arthur did not attend the Bayfield public schools. 1645He moved to Bayfield as a young man. For several years he worked as a commercial fisherman in Bayfield and Red Cliff, and owned and operated the Bayfield Cab Company for several years retiring in 1976. Surviving are two brothers, Harry Johnson of Washburn, Wisconsin; and Roy Johnson of Eveleth, Minnesota; one sister Nora Kelly of Ashland and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and four brothers. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Bayfield. He died at age 78. 1645 Arthur is buried alone in Greenwood Cemetery, so probably did not have a wife.384
