In 1714 they moved from Brettenham to Long Melford, both in Suffolk, England.
1779 This result actually is in accord with the two genealogists we hired some years ago – one was located in Newmarket and the other in Bury. Both diligently broadly searched all the records available in Suffolk and none could find an extension of our Moody line beyond the marriage of Robert Moody and Susannah Smith in Hartest in the year 1705. I might mention that in our searches, we had the added support of a distant cousin, - Christopher Moody - who has a history degree from Oxford University and who later became an Anglican priest – so on several fronts we had professional help in searching church and other available records from a Moody family member who shared our keen interest in genealogy.
