Notes for Scott Michael (Spouse 1)
I recently retired after 35 years of teaching and research at Ohio University .
I am most definitely a Moody but I was having a lot of problems with the university emailing system so started having it forward to my private email account.  Levi Wiechmann is my nommes des plume for a couple of non-scientific books that I have been writing.   Levi in honor of my great-grandfather Levi Moody, Sr. and Wiechmann for my great-grandfather Fritz Wiechmann from NW Germany. I gave the lecture to our SAR Club 2 weeks ago on Genetics 101 and use of DNA for testing SAR and DAR membership.  I believe that I was able to explain it sufficiently to the non-science gentlemen and ladies. At age 66 and 2 years from my emergency surgery for a DeBakey Type I aortic dissection I spent 2 weeks in January driving by myself to Los Angeles and back, visiting scattered cousins and cemeteries to and from.  It was good to be able to that without too much worry; western landscapes are good for the soul!
I will increase my search for more relatives.

“David

Here was my reply to Patty,

Seth Enoch Moody, Ph.D. was my Great-Uncle and I do have a bound version that he produced. Ted Moody accidentally discovered a chest of the genealogy in a cabin in Idaho which had been Seth's cabin, and retyped the manuscript and it and all of his corrections are at the LDS Genealogy Library in Salt Lake City Apparently a copy at the LDS library near Phoenix AZ as well.
I spoke with Ted over a decade ago about this and then I fell into bad health and lost his phone number and email address. He may not still be alive though.
I have been intending to make a facsimile of my bound copy and deposit it in more libraries as well. Hopefully this winter.
