She was the fifth child in a family of seven children from Hatfield. ®408“A letter written by Deacon David Moody of Amherst to an absent brother about the time of the decease of his and their mother, whose death is here recorded says: ‘She experienced reliance on Christ for salvation and hope of future blessedness’, ‘Thus after more than 37 years of infirmity, she has entered into rest.’ The words of the text on the occasion of her funeral were ‘Come and See’. The object of the discourse was to direct attention to the glorious things which God calls his people to come and see’. The baptisms of most of their children have been noted in the record, kept by Rev. David Parson, D. D., but the family record having fortunately been found by one of their descendants it is here substituted for that.” ®408
