418 “They settled in the south-west part of Granby, Mass. For about thirty years, he taught school in the winter season and always in Granby excepting two seasons when he taught in the adjoining town of South Hadley. The remainder of his life was devoted for the most part to agricultural pursuits. The house he built and occupied, yet remains, being at the south-east corner made by the intersection of the road leading from South Hadley Falls, to the center of Granby with a road which runs nearly west to South Hadley center. He was Town Clerk in Granby for many years, kept the Public library and was a man of very great information.” He died 16 July 1815 aged 68.
