She was employed by Sears, Roebuck and Company in Marshfield, Wisconsin at the time of her marriage.
Miss Beverly Hahm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hahm, Marshfield, became the bride of Arnold Matkovic, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Matkovic, Greenwood, on Saturday, August 22, 1953, at Immanuel Lutheran church in Marshfield, the Rev. G. M. Kruegar, officiated at the 2:30 p.m. service. The bride wore a gown of French imported Chantilly lace with nylon tulle. The hoop skirt featured pleated insets of lace. She wore a finger-tip veil and carried a crescent shaped bridal bouquet with an orchid center surrounded by white carnations. Miss Ethel Hahm, sister of the bride as maid of honor, wore a Nile green nylon net dress over taffeta, with matching lace bolero and a sweetheart headdress. She carred an orchid and white carnations. Miss Eileen Hoeh, Tinley Park, Illinois, and Miss Jean Clayton, Wild Rose, cousins of the bride, as bridesmaids, wore gowns of orchid, styled as the maid of honor and carried similar bouquets. Connie Koppen, Milwaukee, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl, and wore a gown of white nylon with a hoop skirt. The groom was attended by Robert Matkovic, West Allis, his cousin as bestman and another cousin James Klanchar, Greenwood, and Palmer Hahm, Milwaukee, brother of the bride, were groomsmen. Harlow and Richard Hansen, Marshfield, ushered. Following the ceremony a supper was served at Eagles Hall.
Mr. Matkovic is employed by Kearney and Trecker of Milwaukee and the bride was employed by the Sears Roebuck Company, Marshfield. They will reside in West Allis. Out-of-town guests came from the state of Colorado, Racine, Milwaukee, Greenwood, Granton, Spencer, Stevens Point and WIld Rose, Wisconsin, and from Seneca, Tinley Park, and Decatur, Illinois.
