His first child was born in 1684. He lived in Newton, then South Kingston, Rhode Island. 362He moved from the area of Hartford, Connecticut to Westerly, Connecticut, with his parents in 1678 at age 23. About a year later they moved to Newport, Rhode Island. He later gave up Puritanism and became a Quaker. By 1696 he had bought a farm near South Kingston, Rhode Island, called Port Judith at what is now called Seager Cove. He had two known children.
