Notes for Robert Campbell EVE M.D.
On 1 June 1850 Robert C. Eve, 7 and single, lived with his parents and 5 siblings in Division 73 of Richmond County, Georgia. 1807 On 1 June 1860 he was 17 and lived with his parents and siblings in Augusta. 1808 On 1 June 1870 he was a 27 year old physician who lived with Willie H., 23, Hannon, 4, Joseph, 3 and Robert C., 2 at the home of his father, Joseph A. Eve in the Second Ward of Augusta, Georgia. He had real estate valued at $12,000 and a personal estate valued at $600.1345 He was an educator, physician, and author. He became Professor of Materia Medica and Medical Jurisprudence in the Georgia Medical College. He enlisted on 10 April 1862 in Augusta. He transferred from Company A1 and was promoted to Assistant Surgeon of the Confederate States of America, then became Full Assistant Surgeon on 20 April 1863 to A Company 63rd Infantry Regiment of Georgia . He was a citizen contract physician for the Augusta, Georgia Arsenal from 16 February 1878 to June 1883.
