He was promoted to Full Assistant Surgeon on 21 September 1861. He served in D Company of the 1st Volunteers Infantry (Ramsey's) Regiment of Georgia. On the 1870 and 1880 censii he lived in West Augusta, Georgia. He was deceased on the 1900 census.
