On 1 June 1860 he was 9 and lived with his parents and siblings in Augusta. 1808 He was a lawyer, living with his father in Augusta, Georgia on the 1880 Census. On the 1900 census he lived in Summerville, Richmond County, Georgia and is a City Court Judge. His four children live with him. Also residing at the same address are Harold C. Eve, born Jul 1875, age 24, a nephew, the son of Robert C. Eve; Mildred Timberlake, sister of William, born 1834, aged 66 and a widow; Lucile Walter, a niece, born 1857, aged 42, teacher.
