He was the Magistrate for Stamford as well as the Deputy for Stamford to the New Haven General Court from 1653 to 1664 inclusive. He was the Deputy for Stamford to the Connecticut General Court in October 1665, October 1666, October 1669, and May 1672. He was the Commissioner for Stamford from 1665 to 1687. 275

She emigrated on "The Increase" to Wethersfield, Connecticut with her parents and family in 1635. She was unmarried at age 23.275 She was not mentioned in her mother's will of 1682.275 Wethersfield was established as Watertown in 1634, and renamed Wethersfield in 1637.
